Comments from Ricky Green

In 1985, Jack Chancellor won the Bassmaster Classic on the Arkansas River in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Jack won the tournament under terrible weather conditions. It rained for 2 days & winds gusting to 30 miles per hour. I was only doing fair in the tournament. Jack was a good friend & he told me what he was doing and gave me some of the Do-Nothing worms.

On the last day of the classic, the Do-Nothing Worm brought me from way down in the pack to 7th place. I became a believer after that when conditions are tough the Do-Nothing will shine. When I needed some help to fill my limit, I put the Do-Nothing on regardless of the time of year.

In the hot summer and cold winter, fish slower than you normally would. The bass are sluggish at these times. It will catch bass shallow without a weight or a very light one in the spring and fall. From May until October, it works best as a Carolina rig. This would all depend on where you live.

The colors I have selected are my favorite for all weather conditions and water colors. Red shad color is best in dark colored water or cloudy days. The Candy Grape fire is a good coloor for early morning and late evening in clear water to lightly stained. The Candy Watermelon with red flake is my favorite under most conditions and pumpkinseed would run a close 2nd.

This a great lure for children and fishermen starting out. The small hooks catch most bass that bite even without a good hook set. This is why Do-Nothing is one of the best bass catching lures ever made.

I finished in the prize money many times by using this lure under tough conditions. If you give the Do-Nothing a try, you won’t be sorry.
